On St. Valentine’s Day in 1944, Italian-born artist Giorgio Trobec was born inside the historic city gates of Florence, a Renaissance city. Later, when he was a teenager, his family relocated to South Africa. In the 1960s, Giorgio produced thrilling 3-D murals with a wide range of materials and techniques, inspired by his mother Vittoria, an artist. He was primarily self-taught, but he did have some draughts manship training. His broad background gave him the tools he needed to start his successful painting career.
