Self-taught, Kobus experimented with his subject matter as an artist. He paints the most exquisite still lifes in addition to rural landscapes and fishing villages. He imbues his landscape paintings with vitality and a vivid sweep of color.
He took part in group and solo exhibits in Somerset-West, Cape Town, Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Paarl.
