Although he is well-known for his many accomplishments in the performing arts, At has always had a passion for painting. Paintings in a variety of media, his subjects include seascapes, clowns, District Six themes, harvester scenes from the Cape, and landscapes. The Eastern Free State is a major inspiration for his landscape paintings. His art also conveys his deep affection for the people and different parts of the Cape. At’s personality is clear in his use of vivid color and the sense of freedom that permeates his artwork.
