    Biography

    Fasciotti Titta (1927–1993) Titta Fasciotti was a lifetime artist who was raised by his father, a talented fresco painter and decorator, and was born in Bergamo, Italy in 1927. He was up surrounded by artists and was exposed to a wide range of artistic mediums from an early age. He studied under Professor Achille Fune for four years at the Accademia Carrara Bergamo in Italy after enrolling there at the age of seventeen. When Titta Fasciotti moved to South Africa in 1948, he found himself in difficult circumstances. Gino, his father, was an Italian POW detained in South Africa. Titta persevered in his artistic endeavors in his new residence despite the challenges, training under the well-known artist W.G. Wiles from 1952 to 1955.
