Zakkie Eloff (1925–2004) created art using etching, monotype, oil, watercolor, ink, and wash. Pretoria Boys High School was his school. He studied graphic design at the Central School of Art in London in 1957. He was a professor at the University of Pretoria after having taught at Pretoria Technical College. He has done book illustrations. In Namibia’s Etosha Game Reserve, he was employed as a game ranger. He relocated to White River, close to the Kruger National Park, in 1969 with his spouse and three young children.His engravings perfectly depict the personality and motion of veld animals.
